July is often the month where offers really start coming in. One player who played well during the live period was point guard Troy Franklin, Jr. of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Baltimore Stars. He has piled up a number of offers to date. Troy is a quick point guard who can get into the lane off of the dribble. He also has the ability to step outside and knock down the perimeter jumper.

Troy got off to a flying start in early July with his strong play at session 2 of the prestigious Eastern Invitational camp. He was named to the Top 20 All Star team in this camp that produces some of the top mid major players on the east coast year in and year out. Troy also played well at the Reebok Summer Championships in Las Vegas as the month came to a close.

Thus far, Troy has received a significant amount of offers from various schools up and down the eastern seaboard. Two CAA schools, Towson and George Mason, are among those schools who have offered. Troy performed well at GMU’s elite camp and Towson is hoping to keep the talented guard close to home. Robert Morris and Quinnipiac are two schools out of the Northeast Conference who have also offered. Additionally, Troy has gained offers from Toledo, Central Florida, Tulane, Harvard, St. Bonaventure and Boston University. With a solid summer, Troy has given himself plenty of options as the fall signing period fast approaches.
