Playoff action took place at the Southern Invitational on Sunday in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Here is a look at some of the top players from the day.

Carolina Raptors

Troy Daniels (2009, 6-3 SG)
This guard showed he can really shoot it from the outside. Troy hit a step back jumper. He hit another jumper and a couple three pointers. He banked home one too. Troy possesses a very smooth stroke. He showed a nice handle. He hit a runner in the lane as well. Troy played very well for the Raptors.

Lucas Troutman (2009, 6-9 PF)
Lucas is a big man who combines skill and athletic ability. He showed great leaping ability on a couple follow up dunks. He rebounded very well throughout the game. Lucas has a decent build, but could get stronger. He also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor. He used a head fake to beat his man off the dribble on once occasion. Lucas blocked a shot too. He didn't show too much of a back to the basket game. He did put together a strong game though.

Dee Giger (2009, 6-6 SF)
Dee had a very quiet first half. He picked it up in the second half and proved to be quite skilled. He hit a mid range jumper. He also had a drive and finish with contact for an old fashioned three point play. Dee is a decent ball handler, but could improve in that area. He also followed up his own miss. Dee proved to be a skilled wing player.

David Pellom (2008, 6-7 PF)
David made some nice plays for the Raptors. He was fouled on a put back attempt on the inside and tipped in another basket. He then used a nice ball fake and drive to the hoop, although he was called for an offensive foul. David has a decent build. He showed that he can knock down a face up 8 foot jumper as well.

NEBC

Jon Marsh (2008, 6-0 PG)
Jon is a very quick lead guard. He runs the floor and can score in transition. He hit a three pointer, but missed quite a few others. The form on his shot could use improvement. Jon didn't finish well around the goal. He does need to get stronger too. He also struggled with a couple turnovers.

Ruben Balkum (2008, 6-4 SG)
Ruben is a smooth scoring wing. He hit early on with a deep two. He hit another pull up jumper on the break. He also scored on a banked runner with a foul. Ruben had a nice drive and fade away jumper. He struggled with a couple turnovers though.

Chris Coleman (2011, 6-10 C)
Chris is a freshman with some potential. He already has a big body and is quite athletic. He blocked several shots and pulled down quite a few rebounds. He scored a couple baskets around the rim, but really needs to improve his finishing ability. He has soft touch, but not a good feel for how to put the ball in the hoop yet. If he develops that part of his game, the sky is the limit for Chris.

Delaware Sharks

Travon O'Brien (2008, 6-4 SG)
Travon was one of the surprise players for us on this day. The talented Delaware wing caught our attention by hitting a pair of three pointers. Where he really stood out though was with his athletic ability. He had several impressive blocks. He also proved to be a solid ball handler who can get into the lane. He ran the floor well and scored in transition. Travon certainly took a lot of perimeter shots and was somewhat inconsistent doing so. He did manage a few more threes after the couple early ones. He also blocked another shot. Travon sure played well in this one.

Nafis Richardson (2008, 6-1 PG/SG)
Nafis is a talented guard who can really score. He uses his quickness off the dribble to get into the lane with ease. He scored often in transition. He knocked down several three pointers. Nafis also had several nice passes as well. He is quite the talent.

Boo Williams 16s

Terrell Allen (2010, 6-5 PF)
Terrell is a tough interior player. He scored inside several times, including an offensive rebound put back. He grabbed a few other rebounds. Terrell was inconsistent finishing inside. The athletic post also had a block.

Dimitri Batten (2010, 6-3 PG)
Dimitri is a solid guard for this young team. He had a nice reverse finish on one end and scored another basket with a foul. Dimitri also had a steal. He didn't always finish well. He certainly has some talent though.

Team Final 16s

Malcolm Gilbert (2010, 6-10 C)
Malcolm is a long and athletic post player. He blocked several shots early on. He showed that he can really elevate on those shots. Malcolm does need to get stronger. After starting well on the defensive end, Malcolm didn't play much.

Trevor Cooney (2011, 6-2 SG)
Trevor is a young guard with a very smooth stroke. He buried a deep two and a shot from beyond the arc as well. He also put the ball on the floor and had a beautiful drive and finish with contact.

George Harper (2010, 6-7 PF)
George continues to impress away from the hoop. Among his baskets were a fall away jumper and another mid range jumper. The athletic forward also showed his leaping ability with an outstanding alley oop dunk on the break.

Westchester Hawks 16s

Brian Voelkel (2010, 6-4 SF/PF)
Brian is an undersized forward who battles inside. He had a nice left hand finish and hit on a turn around post fade away jumper. He was fouled several times after following his own miss. Brian grabbed several rebounds as well. He was relatively quiet from the perimeter, including missing on a three point attempt.

NJ ABC 16s

Markese Tucker (2010, 6-5 PF)
This undersized forward plays very tough inside. Markese has good size and really works. He had a reverse and scored another basket with a foul. He was a bit inconsistent. He grabbed a few boards too.

Virginia Rapids

Ian Hummer (2009, 6-6 SF)
Ian put together a solid game. He had an athletic rebound and put back in inside. He drew a foul on another offensive rebound. From the perimeter, Ian had a drive and pull up mid range jumper. He also was fouled on another put back. Ian possesses a terrific set of hands. Defensively, he partially blocked a shot too.
