Still in Vegas CAA Insider went over to the Adidas Super 64.  There were some loaded AAU teams at this event.  Here is part 2 of the player evaluations from the Adidas Super 64.

Florida Rams

Freddie Riley (2009, 6-6 SG/SF)
Freddie is a talented wing player who showed he can score. He has good size for the position and can hit from the perimeter. He hit several three pointers from the outside and showed great range. Freddie is a good ball handler who can attack off the dribble too. He can drive in either direction. He hit a floater in the lane on one occasion. Freddie showed off his athletic ability with a beautiful follow up jam. He drew several fouls while attacking. Although he hit several shots from the perimeter, he was a bit streaky from the outside. He definitely was very impressive in this outing.

Altavious Carter (2009, 6-6 SF/PF)
Altavious showed some great natural skills. He used his size and athletic ability to block several shots and pull down a couple rebounds for the Rams. On the offensive end, he had a nice drive and bank finish, but was also blocked twice. Altavious added a pair of free throws as well, but did little else. He did not take any shots from the perimeter by our recollection.

Team Philly

Nurideen Lindsey (2009, 6-2 PG) committed to La Salle
The future La Salle Explorer really put together a nice game. He had the tough task of guarding Lance Stephenson. He didn't stop Lance, but Nurideen's tough defense really gave the star fits. On the offensive end, he wasn't too bad either. He scored a basket with contact for an old fashioned three point play. He ran the floor well as is usually the custom. Nurideen did a fine job attacking the rim too.

Denzel Yard (2009, 6-0 PG)
This lefty got going early. Although he doesn't possess the smoothest shot, Denzel was effective as he buried a pair of three pointers. He threw several nice passes, including one after a drive and another after an offensive rebound. While he hit a few from deep, Denzel also airballed a pair of jumpers from the outside.

Parrish Grant (2009, 5-10 PG)
Parrish made a couple plays in this one. From the outside, he buried a three pointer. He also attacked a few times and drew a foul on one occasion. He had a nice drive and kick out to an open shooter too. He did struggle from the foul line in this game.

Jeff Holton (2009, 6-7 PF)
Jeff had a nice spin move and hook shot in the post. The skilled forward hit a deep two pointer after a nice fake. Jeff used his size to pull down several rebounds as well.

Daniel Stewart (2010, 6-6 SF)
Daniel didn't do a lot in this one, but was effective finishing at or around the basket. He had a put back as well as a cut and basket with contact. Daniel grabbed several rebounds too.

Playaz

Karon Abraham (2009, 5-9 PG)
This lead guard had a solid game. Karon is a very quick off the dribble and got into the paint often. He drove to the hoop and often looked for teammates. He found them with several nice passes. If he's not driving, Karon loves to pull up from the outside. He hit a couple of those type of shots, but struggled to do so consistently. Despite being small, he pulled down several rebounds too. This talented player was solid, but not spectacular.

David Laury (2009, 6-7 PF)
Last time we really watched David closely was several years ago, he was a tough player inside. Since then, he seems to have really transitioned his game more towards the perimeter. He looked to attack often off the dribble from the outside. He grabbed several boards and looked to push the ball after most of them. David hit a tough fall away deep jumper just inside the arc. He also banked in a 12 foot shot. He showed some of that ability to play inside too as he scored in the post. It was a solid outing for this prep school bound forward.

Jameel Grace (2008, 5-8 PG)
Jameel was rather quiet in this one. The small guard hit on a pull up jumper. He also got out and scored in transition. He did miss a couple jumpers though, including an airball.

Dylan Bulger (2009, 6-9 C)
Dylan is a big bodied post player. He grabbed a couple rebounds and blocked a shot in this one. The lone basket of his that we recall was a lay-in after a nice feed from a teammate. He did knock down a pair of free throws. Dylan does need to move quicker on defense and would likely be able to do so by dropping a few pounds.

Mass Rivals

Hanell Velez (2009, 6-4 SG)
Hanell had an up and down game. He has good size for his position and handles the ball well. He scored once in transition and made a beautiful adjustment in traffic for another basket. From the outside, he hit a three pointer. Hanell pulled down a few rebounds. He did have trouble with turnovers, including a couple bad pass and some plays where he dribbled too much. Hanell was still solid though.

Matt Brown (2010, 6-2 SG)
Matt is another talented guard. He opened with a pair of three pointers. He hit the boards on both ends of the floor. He drove into the lane and drew a foul on one play.

Grassroots Canada

Jason Calliste (2009, 6-2 PG/SG)
Jason made a couple plays in this game. He scored early in transition. From the outside, he buried a three pointer. He showed a smooth stroke in doing so. Jason also had a beautiful lazer pass.

Renaldo Dixon (2009, 6-8 PF)
Renaldo is a big and athletic forward. He didn't make a lot of plays, but really showed great leaping ability with an athletic throw down.

Team Oklahoma

Monty Brown (2009, 6-10 C)
This big man was quite impressive early on. He made a few plays around the rim, as he had an athletic dunk and blocked a shot. Monty was able to follow his own miss on another play. He did struggled to finish consistently inside though. He also airballed a pull up jumper.
