Deep Creek High School’s Chris Evans has generated a good amount of interest for himself, playing with Petersburg Elite this summer on the AAU circuit.

Chris is a combo forward that appears to prefer playing out away from the hoop.  He handles the basketball very well for a kid his size and likes to attack the hoop.

Chris is an explosive athlete and will make plays above the rim.  He scores a lot of his points on dunks and runners after driving into the lane.

If he wants to play out on the wing at the next level he will need to show more of an outside shot.  This would make him a more dangerous player but his athleticism and driving ability already make him an intriguing prospect.

We were able to catch up with Chris to find out what schools he likes at this point.

Chris is presently getting looks from George Mason, La Salle, St Joe’s, Hampton, Providence, Penn State and Appalachian State, with offers from Hampton, La Salle and St. Joe’s.

Other schools that were previously involved with Chris include, Old Dominion, High Point and Virginia Tech.

Chris also informed us that his current favorites are Penn State, La Salle, St. Joe’s and Providence.

We will keep you updated on further developments with his recruitment.
