In the early signing period Bryant received a signed National Letter of Intent from Raphael Jordan out of The John Carroll School in Bel Air, Maryland.  CAA Insider caught up with Raphael to discuss his commitment.

CAA Insider: Congratulations on committing to Bryant.

Raphael Jordan: Thank you, I appreciate it.

CAA Insider: I know your season just started but how is it going so far this year?

Raphael Jordan: It’s going well, we have a goal to win the championship and hope to reach our full potential.

CAA Insider: How does it feel to already have your college decision made and out of the way?

Raphael Jordan: Feels good, I get to enjoy the season and play with the weight lifted off my shoulders.

CAA Insider: What made Bryant seem like the right place to continue your basketball career?

Raphael Jordan: My family and I both liked the academics at Bryant, as well as the coaches and the faculty.

CAA Insider: Did you take an official or unofficial visit to the campus?

Raphael Jordan: I took an official.

CAA Insider: What did you do on your visit?

Raphael Jordan: I watched the team practice and got a good feel for the school environment.

CAA Insider: What other schools were recruiting you?

Raphael Jordan: Stony Brook, St. Francis (PA), and American just to name a few.

CAA Insider: Which schools did you have offers from?

Raphael Jordan: Bryant was the only one. Others wanted to wait but I didn’t.

CAA Insider: When did the Bryant coaching staff first see you play and when did they really start recruiting you hard?

Raphael Jordan: They saw me at an open gym at my school, and then from there on they recruited me pretty hard.

CAA Insider: What role do you see yourself playing in your first year at Bryant?
Raphael Jordan: I think I will bring defensive intensity, and from there I will accept the role that I am given.

CAA Insider: What would you say are the strengths of your game?

Raphael Jordan: I would say my defense that always gets me going, as well as my pull ups.

CAA Insider: What areas of your game do you need to work on the most?

Raphael Jordan: I would say making my jump shot more consistent from behind the arc

CAA Insider:  Who has had the greatest influence on your basketball career?

Raphael Jordan: My brother, he helps me break down tape as well as in the gym during off-season.

CAA Insider: Who is best player you’ve ever been matched up against?

Raphael Jordan: I played a lot of tough guards, but I would say Johnny Flynn (Syracuse).

CAA Insider: How did you do with that match up?

Raphael Jordan: Not too bad actually, I mean we lost but it was a good experience.

CAA Insider: Do you know what you are going to major in at Bryant?

Raphael Jordan: I think I want to study law; I have always wanted to be a lawyer.

CAA Insider: Thank you for your time, and good luck this season.

Raphael Jordan: Thanks take care.
