Alibaba Odd is a 6-2 senior shooting guard out of Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, PA, and has been getting looks from a variety of schools including some in the NEC and the MAAC.

Odd is at his best when attacking the hoop off the dribble or scoring in transition.  He is pretty quick with the ball in his hands and does a nice job of getting to the hoop.  There are games though where Odd is less aggressive and he is not as effective in those games.

While he can hit jumpers to out beyond the three-point line, his jump shot is very streaky.  When he is on he can be very dangerous, but his jump shot was off more than it was on in the times we have seen him play.  He does have a smooth stroke though so he may just need more repetition to become a more consistent shooter.

Another aspect of Odd’s game that stands out is his passing ability.  Once he gets into the lane he has a knack for finding the open man and he also passes well on fast breaks.

As far as the schools looking at Alibaba go, he has Long Island and Quinnipiac keeping tabs on him. He has also received mail from Miami, St. John’s and Fairfield.
