Philadelphia Inquirer: Daniel Ochefu, a 6-foot-10 center from Westtown School who is ranked No. 20 among all national prospects in the college freshman Class of 2012, has given an oral commitment to attend Villanova, Westtown coach Seth Berger said Monday.

The 235-pound Ochefu, who averaged about 16 points and 12 rebounds this season, had narrowed his list down to Villanova, Temple, Georgetown, and Texas before making his decision.

Ochefu could not be reached for comment, but he told ESPN.com that he liked Wildcats coach Jay Wright and his staff.

"I liked the fact that it's close to my family and that my high school is only 20 minutes away," Ochefu told the website. "My family and friends can come and see me play. I also like the classes they have coming at Villanova in the next couple of years."
