Episcopal G Kethan Savage picks GW

ImageWashington Post: Episcopal guard Kethan Savage, a rising senior, on Saturday morning committed to play for George Washington.

Savage, who is 6 feet 3, can play either guard position. He transferred to Episcopalfrom Chantilly and repeated his junior year at the Alexandria boarding school. Savage averaged 17.7 points and helped the Maroon to a 25-3 record and the Interstate Athletic Conference championship.

Kethan Savage becomes the first high school player to commit to play for GW’s new coach Mike Lonergan. (John McDonnell - THE WASHINGTON POST) Savage also considered scholarship offers from Towson, Duquesne and Loyola Marymount, according to Episcopal Coach Jim Fitzpatrick.

“It’s a national university but fortunately it’s a local school as well,” Fitzpatrick said.
