Midnight Madness can be described as a glorified pep rally where individual schools choose to kick off the upcoming basketball season. The Midnight Madness (MM) event is viewed by many as a significant recruiting tool and an opportunity to invite key recruits to the festivities. 

In recent years, the event has really blown up and some schools take it as far as having musical performers or special guests such as Syracuse inviting the popular hip-hop artist Meek Mill to engage the crowd, Memphis having Rick Ross in to hype attendees and Indiana choosing to have Bill Raftery host the event to enhance the overall experience. 

As a fan, it’s nearly impossible to find a concrete list of recruits expected to attend and stay up to date on the latest additions and subtractions of each schools’ projected attendees.
