MLive: Western Michigan University's men's basketball program has been after Kellen McCormick longer than anyone else in the 2012 recruiting class. He finally said the feeling was mutual Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-8 sharpshooting forward from Pontiac Notre Dame Prep became the fourth member of the Broncos 2012 class, verbally committing to WMU Wednesday over other finalists Miami of Ohio and Oakland.

"All my friends who are basketball players and have already committed ... just talking to them, they all said, when they got on campus they had that feeling," McCormick said Wednesday night. "And the first time I went to Western I felt really comfortable there. I had a connection. I love their coaches."
