Former Michigan State commit heads to Wagner
Sunday, 30 October 2011
WagnerLogoNew.jpgZagsBlog: Dwaun Anderson, the 2011 Mr. Michigan Basketball winner, is the latest recruit to jump aboard the Dan Hurley express at Wagner.

Anderson, 6-foot-4 guard who averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4.5 assists as a senior at Sutton’s Bay High School in Central Michigan, had enrolled at Michigan State, but will now enter Wagner as a non-scholarship student in January before going on scholarship next fall. He will have four years of eligibility.

Other schools involved with Anderson included Villanova, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Missouri, Drexel and Georgetown.

“First, Dwaun is a high-character kid and a good person,” Matt Pauls, of ECE/NJABC basketball, told “He is someone who felt he needed a smaller setting than Michigan State, and he really was comfortable with Dan and Bobby Hurley.”

Paul added: “He’s the biggest 6-4 player I’ve ever been around. Dwaun has a 40-inch vertical leap, and is a streaky long-range shooter who has a huge upside.”
