D1Nation: Take another talented member of the D1 Nation’s Class of 2012 off the board.  A couple of hours ago while driving to San Antonio I received a phone call from Devon Turk’s Pop who was excited to let me know that his boy had committed to Loyola-Chicago of the Horizon League.  From this point forward it won’t only be Butler who has shooters up that way, as Turk can flat fill it up.  Mr. Turk indicated the ability to get in the mix as a freshman was a big part of his decision to head to the Windy City.

The 6’3″ Turk has a hair trigger release and when he gets hot is capable of buckets galore.  He transferred to Houston Westbury Christian this academic year where he’s on a powerhouse squad.  He played his summer basketball with the Texas D1 Ambassadors-Houston and also attended the Pangos All American Camp in Los Angeles.

On a related note, 2012 P 6’9″ Jeremy King becomes the 3rd member of Coach Danny Evans Houston St. Thomas squad to go D1 (Chase Brogna-Rice and Christian Sanders-Stanford are the others.)  King’s also committed to Loyola-Chicago.  King played for Texas Pro but also has trained extensively with Texas D1 Ambassadors Coach Richard Law who deserves a shout out for his work in the gym with these young men.
