The Recruit Scoop: Current Eastern Michigan head coach Rob Murphy is in the process of rebuilding the program. The former Syracuse assistant may have found one of the key pieces to the puzzle for next year.

On Sunday morning, the Eagles landed an in-state commitment from 2012 6-foot-2 shooting guard Ray Lee out of Romulus.

“I committed to Eastern Michigan today,” said Lee. “It was down to them, Seton Hall and Rhode Island. Other high major schools came in and I didn’t have faith in going to a bigger school. At Eastern Michigan, I feel comfortable with the coaching staff and believe I will be able to succeed from the beginning with early playing time and a great role on a rebuilding team.”
