NERR: The road has been a long and windy one for Zach Lewis, but on Wednesday his journey finally came to an end with a commitment to Hofstra.

Lewis began his senior season at Northwest Catholic High School with some limited division I interest but he quickly emerged as one of the hottest available prospects left available in New England, picking up at least three division I scholarship offers.  

Things came to a screeching halt in early February when Lewis was dismissed from the team for what the school called a “private matter”.  

Lewis returned to the court early this month for the beginning of the grassroots season and showed extremely well for his New York Lightning squad.
