Zags Blog: Dan Hurley’s rebuilding of Rhode Island continues.

The Rams on Wednesday received a commitment from former Rice forward Jarelle Reischel .

The 6-foot-6 Point Pleasant Beach High product chose the Rams over VCU after earlier considering Iona, La Salle and Boston College. He had visited VCU and Rhode Island.

“Jarelle narrowed his list down to two great schools and coaching staffs who both did a tremendous job recruiting him,” Point Pleasant Beach coach Nick Catania told SNY.tv. “He really developed a great relationship with Dan and Bob Hurley and felt the Rhode Island staff could continue to improve his game.”
