CSU Vikings: Aaron Scales (Kernersville, N.C.), who played at the American Basketball Institute last season, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Cleveland State and play basketball beginning in the fall of 2012.

"We are extremely excited about the signing of Aaron Scales," head coach Gary Waters said. "We feel that he will add great depth to our post play and his potential is unlimited. He brings the type of energy that we need from that position and I believe he has the potential to be one of the better big men in our league. It will be a joy to coach Aaron."

The 6-foot-9, 260-pound Scales is a prep-school product who played at the American Basketball Institute in North Carolina last season, averaging 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. He helped the squad to a third place finish at the National Prep School Association championships.
