Washington Post: Chalk up a big one for George Washington Coach Mike Lonergan and his staff.
The Colonials landed Montrose Christian center Kevin Larsen on Monday, adding to a significant recruiting haul that also includes All-Met guards Kethan Savage of Episcopal and Joe McDonald of Landon.
GW also has signed 6-5 Argentine swingman Patricio Garino of Montverde (Fla.) Academy and 6-9 forward Paris Maragkos, a Greek native who played at the Blue Ridge School in St. George, Va. The Colonials also will add forward Isaiah Armwood, a former Montrose Christian player, to the roster after he sat out this season following his transfer from Villanova.
Larsen, who is 6 feet 9 and 240 pounds, is a Denmark native who played two seasons at Montrose Christian. During that time, he improved tremendously, averaging 7.5 points this past season as the Mustangs went 21-3.
