Green headed to Temple
Wednesday, 01 August 2012
ImageCourier Post: Temple University was always the school Kyle Green used as a baseline against all others.

In the end, no other men’s college basketball program or head coach proved to be better.

A 6-foot-5 senior swingman at Camden Catholic, Green called head coach Fran Dunphy less than 30 minutes ago and made a verbal commitment to continue his career with the Owls.

Temple was the first school to offer Green a scholarship, this coming during his sophomore year. He chose the Owls over Florida Atlantic, Albany and Quinnipiac. Colgate was also in the picture.

“A lot of coaches have called and texted but none match up to Coach Dunphy,” said Green, who will enter his final season at Camden Catholic with 1,163 career points. “I think he’s the best coach in the country and at the end of the day there was no doubt I was going to Temple.
