Wagner gets commitment from Maryland product Langston Burnett
Sunday, 05 August 2012
ImageSI Live:  First-year Wagner College coach Bashir Mason didn’t hesitate.

The 28-year-old Mason saw Maryland product Langston Burnett  playing in a summer league game recently, and when he heard that the recent high school grad intended to spend a prep year at a Virginia military academy, he had one question.

Why?

“Coach said that he thought I was ready to play in college right now,” the 6-foot-4, 200-pound Burnett said Friday from his Beltsville, Md., home after verbally committing to the Seahawks earlier in the day. “I decided that he was right.”

Burnett, who played his high school ball at St. Vincent Pallotti in Laurel, Md., planned on spending the coming academic year at Massenutten Military Academy in Woodbridge, Va.
