Hoover graduate Evans will transfer to Akron
Friday, 26 April 2013
ImageCanton Rep: Nyles Evans will be playing his basketball games closer to home next season.

Evans, a sophomore point guard at Brevard Community College in Florida and Hoover High School graduate, has agreed to transfer to the University of Akron next season.

“He is going to fit in great at Akron,” Hoover head coach Randy Montgomery said. “I think the one small crack in the armor that Akron has is at point guard. They have an abundance of talent everywhere except at point guard and I think that was one of the deciding factors for him.

“He feels he has a great chance to play in the NCAA Tournament with Akron and that has always been a goal for him. It’s also an outstanding place to get an education.”
