Bobby Ahearn verbally commits to Binghamton
Thursday, 01 August 2013

ImageNew England Hoop News: That's quite the way to wrap up an impressive month of July.

Marianapolis Prep and Metro Boston 2014 forward Bobby Ahearn put his recruitment to end on Tuesday night, verbally committing to Binghamton according to a report.

The 6-foot-6 Ahearn has picked up an offer from Holy Cross last summer, and programs in the Patriot League, Ivy League and other schools in the America East Conference expressed interest in him. Most recently, Davidson -- who is joining the Atlantic 10 had contacted him.

Despite being undersized for the four, Ahearn has been able to extend his game out closer towards the perimeter. He has been able to improve his shooting stroke and while at home with his trainer he is working on speed and agility, as well as his ball handling. When asked if he believes he can play the three in college, Ahearn said yes.
