UMass-Lowell lands commitment from 2014 guard Matt Harris

ImageNew England Hoop News:  Matt Harris, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Cathedral Prep in Erie, Pa. pledged to UMass-Lowell over the weekend, and New England Hoop News learned of the news of Thursday night. 

Harris helped the Ramblers go 23-3 as a junior this past season, advancing all the way to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) quarterfinals. The Prep shooter averaged 13.8 points, shooting 51 percent from the field. He also grabbed 2.7 boards per game.
On Thursday afternoon, UMass-Lowell also received a verbal commitment from Lodi High School (Wisc.) rising senior guard Jordan Shea, according to Nick Sunderland-Saied of the Wisconsin State Journal. 

The 6-foot-4 Shea averaged 15.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game earning Capitol North Player of the Year honors and led the Blue Devils Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division III state title game.

The two join Brad Schaub, a 6-foot-5 wing from Marlette High School (Mich.) in Pat Duquette's Class of 2014.
