Recently I had the chance to engage in a Q&A Interview with Class of 14'  Ft. Wayne, IN (Canterbury HS.) prospect Grant Sinn.

Grant is a combo guard with an "EXCELLENT" skill set and deadly behind the arc. Keep your eyes on this kid for sure!


Q & A Interview with Grant Sinn...

Q. What high school do you attend and where is it located?

A. Fort Wayne Canterbury School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Q. Who is your favorite basketball player (ex: NBA or College)?

A. JJ Redick

Q. Grant describe your style of play...

A. I am a 3 point shooter, but since I have been playing point for my school, my style of play has evolved into more of a "combo" guard.

Q. How long have you played organized basketball?

A. I have been playing since I was 5 years old.

Q. What do you do before games? Do you have a ritual (ex. listening to a song etc.)?

A. Before games, I pray during the 3rd quarter of the JV game, then I go and listen to my "GameDay" playlist.

Q. What are your goals for this season with it being your last as a high school athlete?

A. My team has won 3 straight sectional championships, so I plan on making it out of the sectionals again this year. We have won regionals one year but lost in the semi-state championship game. We plan on going to win a state championship.

Q. Do you play any other sports besides basketball?

A. I was the soccer manager for my high school, who went on to win a state championship, so I got a state ring and medal.

Q. What would be your ideal situation in going to a D1 program?

A. An ideal situation would be to go in and contribute right away to a team.

Q. Is there a specific style of play you would like to be part of?

A. A specific style of play that I would like to be a part of would involve a lot of transition game and shooting the ball from 3.

Q. What are your current year stats (13'-14') and last seasons?

A. My current stats are 8 points, 5.3 assists, 5 rebounds, 1.7 steals. In AAU ball, I averaged 19.5 points on 45% shooting from 3. 126-283 from 3.

Q. Have you received any awards for basketball?

A. I was named MIP for my high school team my sophomore season, Ranked #11 for SG on Indiana Basketball Recruiting Guide Class of 2014, Hoosier Basketball Magazine 2012-2013 All State 3rd Team Selection, 2013 Honorable Mention for Northeast Indiana, and 2013-2014 Indiana Top 50 players.

Q. Do you have your eyes set on any particular college program?

A. I do not have a specific college program in mind. I just want to be able to continue playing basketball and to help out a team any way I can.

Q. Do you have a specific area of study you are looking for in a college?

A. I want to major in business.

Q. Do you currently have offers from programs? Do you have a lot of interest from programs? If so please list.

A. I hold an offer from CCU. I have had interest from Mount Saint Mary, Campbell U, UNCW, and Houston Baptist.

Q. Of the schools with interest who are your top choices?

A. My top choices are The Mount, UNCW, Campbell U, and CCU (Cincinnati Christian University).

Q. Say you were offered a scholarship today would you accept it? And why?

A. I would, because I believe that having a free college education would help me out later in my life.

Q. How big of a part will your parents play in selecting a college program for you to continue academics and sports?

A. My parents play a large part in helping me make my college decision.
