Lana Long is in the Class of 2014 and attends Walkersville High School in Walkersville, MD. Currently Lana leads her team in points per game and rebounding thru 5 games. She averages 16.6ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.8bpg thru the first 5 games of the season. Last season Lana averaged 11.8ppg to go along with 8.9rpg and 1.6bpg. Lana is a  extremely good slick footed athlete that loves to run the floor and carries excellent footwork for a 5'11'' post player. Her high school team is currently 5-0 thru 5 games and are looking to Win a State Championship.

During the 2012-2013 season Lana was named offensive MVP for her team and was named to All-MVAL Piedmont second team as a high school junior. Lana also was named one of the Top 5 in rebounding in the MVAL Division for the 2012-2013 season. She was also named to North Carroll High School All- Tournament Team last season.

Long is receiving a lot of interest from many mid-major D1 schools such as Mount Saint Mary's, UNC Wilmington, Campbell and Cornell University. However she dosen't have any open offers as of yet, but I am sure will receive more interest from D1 schools a long with receiving offers. She is also receiving interest from D2 Alderson Broaddus University and D2 Shepherd University. There are also other D2 and D3 schools showing interest.

Lana is a very talented soft spoken young lady that everyone needs to keep an eye on for the 2013-2014 Lady Lions Basketball season. Her 1st game of the season vs. Catoctin Lana scored 25 points and 10 rebounds. Any D1 school that grabs Lana is going to be extremely happy, as she is a hard working never give up young lady and athlete. Stay tuned for more news on Lana Long!!
