Hunting ParK 2

John Johnson (2011, 6-0 PG/SG)
It was our first time watching this fine freshman and he certainly didnít disappoint. John opened by burying a three pointer and hit several of those on the day. Heís very aggressive off the dribble and always looking to get to the rim. He was able to beat his man off the dribble time and time again. John dribbles the ball a bit high, but is still effective with it. He loves to get out and run. He also drew a lot of contact because of his aggressive nature. John was very efficient at the line. He had several nice drive and dish plays as well. He led the way for Hunting Park 2 with 29 points.

Koron Reed (2009, 6-5 SF)
Koron is athletic forward. He was effective right around the hoop. He hit a deep turnaround post jumper. He had a couple put backs. Koron also scored a lot via transition baskets. He used his athletic ability on a dunk as well as several blocked shots. He threw a few nice passes too. Koron finished with 19 points.

Marcus Kennedy (2011, 6-8 PF)
Marcus is a young wing player with a solid build. Heíll play inside or outside. He did seem more comfortable on the perimeter where he hit a couple foul line jumpers. His form isnít the best, but he was still effective. Marcus battled on the glass too. He had an offensive rebound put back and bank on the inside. He ran the floor some too and had an athletic dunk. Marcus finished with a solid 12 points.

Bucks County

Jeff Holton (2009, 6-7 PF)
Jeff came of the bench, but made a huge impact. He hit on three from behind the arc. He used a head fake and stopped and popped for a mid range jumper. Jeff also went all the way to the rim and scored. He converted his first seven shots in this contest and for awhile looked unstoppable. Jeff has decent size and is a very skilled player. He moves well without the ball and can battle some inside too. He pulled down several rebounds. Jeff led Bucks County with 25 points off the bench.

Dalton Pepper (2009, 6-6 SG/SF)
Dalton ran the floor well and scored often in transition. He also did an excellent job of attacking from the perimeter and getting all the way to the hoop before converting. He also scored on some very difficult shots. He drove left and hit a pull up jumper. Dalton later hit a tough fall away jumper and finally scored on a runner in the lane. He didnít play much in the second half, but still came away with 20 points for the contest.

Will Barrett (2009, 6-8 SF/PF)
This skilled forward started strong. Will displayed his range with a pair of three pointers. He had a nice drive and dish. He had a strong game throughout going at the rim. He handles the ball well for his size. He does need to learn to keep the ball up when he shoots in traffic though. Will often gets stripped with the ball below his waste. He also struggled finishing with contact. He did hit a nice turn around jumper from around the free throw line. He has a good feel from the range. Will just needs to work on his game closer to the rim. He scored 15 points in the win.

Eddie DiRugeris (2009, 5-11 PG)
Eddie put together a very good game. Every facet was working for him.  He banked home a runner to get started. He ran the floor and scored in transition or dished off the ball. Throughout the game, he threw a number of beautiful passes. Eddieís jumper was even on too as he buried a couple three pointers, including one from very deep. He even converted a very high degree of difficulty overhead lay-up. Eddie didnít play much late in the contest, but still scored 17 points.

Sonny Hill Juniors

George Harper (2010, 6-7 PF)
This athletic forward put together a good game. Heís most comfortable putting the ball on the floor and driving from the middle of the lane. He did that on several occasions. One of those was a beautiful floater. George also blocked a shot and had alley oop dunk. Like most of his teammates, his playing time was limited in this blowout win.

Ligah Thompson (2009, 6-7 PF)
Ligah used his size and athletic ability around the rim. He scored on a reverse turnaround jumper as well as several lay-ups. He had several dunks and even step up Harper with a nice pass on the alley oop. Ligah had a strong game on the boards. He missed an 8 foot jumper and if can develop that type of shot he could raise his game. He was solid in his limited minutes.

Cameron Ayers (2010, 6-4 SF)
Cameron possesses a very nice pull up game and he used it several times in this one. Heís a solid ball handler who played a lot of point guard in this game. Heís probably more suited on the wing though. Cameron scored inside and also had a steal and lay-up en route to 10 points.

Sonny Hill Seniors

Sammy Givens (2008, 6-5 SG/SF) committed to Drexel
Sammy was very active on the inside. He scored on a number of strong finishes from offensive rebounds. He grabbed rebounds on the defensive end too and pushed the ball up for baskets or assists. Sammy passed quite well. He had several steals defensively too.

Larry Loughery (2008, 6-6 SF/PF)
Larry did most of his damage directly near the rim. He had a couple lay-ups and he crashed the boards on both ends of the court. Larry had a nice cross court pass and blocked several shots too.

Doug Davis (2008, 5-9 PG) committed to Princeton
Doug used his smooth shooting stroke to bury a couple three pointers. He had a nice long pass through traffic. He also recovered from a turnover with a steal and assist. He did a good job of running the offense.

Chris Edwards (2008, 6-7 SF)
Chris ran the floor and scored some in transition. He also flashed his wing skills with a couple outside jumpers, including from three.

Team Kobe

Henry Smith (2009, 6-5 SF)
Henry opened with his usual fine shooting. He buried a deep jumper and a three pointer. He later hit a tough pull and was fouled and converted for a three point play. Henry ran the floor and really works on the offensive glass too. He scored 25 points in the loss.

Khalif Wyatt (2009, 6-2 PG/SG
This smooth scorer was at his best running the floor and using his body to score around the rim. He had several nice passes too. He buried a couple three pointers, but was inconsistent from the outside. Khalif also got to the line a lot, but struggled to convert from there. He finished with 23 points in the loss.

Rakeem Christmas (2011, 6-8 PF)
This youngster is talented but still a bit raw. He possesses very long arms and is quite athletic. Most of his point came via good feeds from his teammates around the basket. Rakeem has good hands and finished pretty well. He showed a smooth turnaround half hook shot after a rebound, but didnít do much else with his back to the basket. He had several athletic dunks and blocks. Rakeem crashed the boards on both ends too. He finished with 10 points and a number of rebounds.

Greg Robbins (2009, 6-4 SG/SF)
Greg had a relatively quiet game. He hit a three pointer and scored a couple transition baskets. He ripped down some rebounds and had an athletic block defensively. Greg ended with 12 points.

Del Val VC

Will Campbell (2008, 5-10 PG)
Will is a very aggressive lead guard. Heís a quick ball handler who can attack in either direction. He really likes to go left. Heíll often drive and kick the ball out. Will scored some when attacking and in transition, but overall didnít have a great game. He struggled throughout with his jumper. He really shot a lot of pull up jumpers, but couldnít convert. He finished with 13 points in the loss.

Philly Hoops

Damien McBride (2010, 6-2 PG/SG)
This young guard has good size and is pretty quick off the dribble. Damian ran the floor well and threw a couple nice passes. He hit a tough fade away jumper. He also took a charge on the defensive end.
