 1  22-3 HuntingtonPrep.jpeg
 Huntington Prep  Huntington (WV)

 Express Schedule

 Head Coach: Rob Fulford

Impact Players: Tanveer BhullarElijah MaconNegus Webster-ChanAndrew WigginsJavontae HawkinsStefan JankovicXavier Rathan-MayesEvan Payne

Breakdown: Part for part, this team has the looks of a well-oiled machine in 2011-2012. The staggering height of their frontcourt will be scary for opponents as the Express features Tanveer Bhullar at 7-2 and Stefan Jankovic at 6-10 manning the paint. But that's just the begining. Robert Fulford's squad also features future Mountaineer (West Virginia) Elijah Macon and the top player in the 2014 class wing Andrew Wiggins. Combine that with a backourt of Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Javontae Hawkins and you have yourself a Goliath-like opponent.

 2  30-2  SimeonAcademy.jpeg
 Simeon Academy  Chicago (IL)

 Wolverines Schedule

 Head Coach: Robert Smith

Impact Players: Jabari ParkerSteve TaylorKendrick NunnJaylon Tate

Breakdown:  Arguable by few, it's safe to say the nation's best player in the 2013 class suits up for the Wolverines of Simeon Academy in Jabari Parker. Parker is regarded as a future lottery pick as a incoming junior but he's got help. Parker is joined by a backourt duo of Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate, who was a mid-summer transfer from De La Salle (IL). That trio along with Marquette commit, Steve Taylor will be seeking out their third straight 4A state title.

 3  18-1  TiltonSchool.jpeg
Tilton School  Tilton (NH)

 Rams Schedule

 Head Coach: Marcus O' Neil

Impact Players: Nerlens Noel, Georges NiangGoodluck OkoonbohWayne Selden,  Dominique Bull

Breakdown: Looking for their fifth straight 2A title, the Rams of Tilton School have long been the talk of the town. With their recent success, they have shown high school basketball fans across the nation that they will continue to be a force to be reckoned with. Featuring a backcourt of 2014 stud Wayne Selden and Mizzou commit Dominique Bull, the Rams are out to prove they can score from anywhere on the floor. Their secret weapon Nerlens Noel, lurks in the depths of the paint often altering shots in ways you previously thought unimaginable.

 4  33-3  BrewsterAcademy.jpeg
 Brewster Academy  Wolfeboro (NH)

 Bobcats Schedule

 Head Coach: Jason Smith

Impact Players: Mitch McGaryJakarr SampsonT.J. WarrenSemaj ChristonJalen Reynolds

Breakdown: Brewster's roster is perhaps one of the most dynamic nationwide. 1-5, they sport 5 D1 commits. Mitch McGary, a consensus top 3 player in the 2012 class, leads a talented group that went 33-3 last season. Accompanied by forwards Jakarr Sampson and T.J. Warren along with a duo of Xavier commits in Semaj Christon and Jalen Reynolds, Brewster's frontline is like a deep, dark bottomless pit. They should remain in the top 5 all season long.

 5  28-4  OakHillAcademy.jpeg
Oak Hill Academy  Mouth of Wilson (VA)

 Warriors Schedule

 Head Coach: Steve Smith

 Impact Players: A.J. HammonsDamien WilsonTyler LewisD'Vauntes Smith-RiveraJordan AdamsR.J. Curington

Breakdown: We definately tossed and turned at night trying to figure out this number 5 spot. It really came down to the head man in charge. This version of the Raiders is not as well-rounded as previous years and is littered with guards. Be that as it may, Coach Smith is great at getting his players to buy into his system and can flat out coach you under the table. A.J. Hammons can provide a serviceable post presence. Jordan Adams can fill up the box score. New addition D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera will most likely begin to defer his scoring a bit and work on shoring up his defensive game. Tyler Lewis will lead the breaks and look to dish to wings Damien Wilson and R.J. Curington.

 6  28-4  FindlayPrep.jpeg
Findlay Prep  Henderson (NV)

 Pilots Schedule

 Head Coach: Mike Peck

Impact Players: Anthony BennettBrandon AshleyDominic ArtisNigel Williams-GossWinston Shepard

Breakdown: Findlay Prep continues to be a staple in the Top 25 like a respected tradition passed down from one generation to the next. As per usual, they will have a battle-tested schedule to test their might. Coach Peck's Pilot squad is rich with talent inside and out as they add two big names to their roster in in Pac-12 commits Brandon Ashley and Dominic Artis. Those two accompanied by Anthony Bennett, Winston Sheppard and Nigel Williams-Goss give the Pilots all the intagibles to succeed in 2011-2012.

 7  32-2  MaterDei.jpeg
 Mater Dei  Santa Ana (CA)

 Monarchs Schedule

 Head Coach: Gary McKnight

Impact Players: Xavier JohnsonStanley JohnsonKatin ReinhardtElijah Brown

Breakdown: Cali is well represented with this loaded squad out of Santa Ana. UNLV-bound Katin Reinhardt can do you up in a variety of ways. Play off of him and he will nail that three, play him close and he has a good first step and will penetrate the lane and dish it to Xavier Johnson. Sophmore guard Stanley Johnson will be much more improved simply because he is a year older. Both Johnson boys are do it all players that can play any number of positions. The Monarchs will gain added depth with the addition of Elijah Brown whom transfered from Cleveland after his father Mike Brown took over the L.A. Lakers head coaching position.

 8  25-6  BishopGorman.jpeg
 Bishop Gorman Las Vegas (NV)

 Gael Schedule

 Head Coach: Grant Rice

Impact Players: Shabazz MuhammadRosco AllenRashad MuhammadDemetris MorantBen CarterStephen Zimmerman

Breakdown: Coach Rice can look to the lefty all-everything player, Shabazz Muhammad to lead the loaded Gaels to the hoops promise land. The 2nd ranked player in the RecruitRecon 2012 Top 100 can dominate the game in many ways, but will not need to with the stable of talent surrounding him. Stanford-bound Rosco Allen can get his shots and Ben Carter can do work in the post. Rashad Muhammad and Demetris Morant will be quality players that can pace the team during stretches. Arguably by few, the nation's best freshman Stephen Zimmerman will add much needed inside depth for the Gaels.

 9  25-1  DemathaCatholic.jpeg
DeMatha Catholic  Hyattsville (MD)

 Stags Schedule

 Head Coach: Mike Jones

Impact Players: BeeJay AnyaJerami GrantJames RobinsonJarius Lyles

Breakdown: The Stags have a tough schedule this year and will look for senior leadership from Pitt-bound James Robinson and Syracuse-bound Jerami Grant to get them past the top-notch competition. BeeJay Anya is a defensive marvel and has reportedly tightened up his conditioning. Jarius Lyles, Marcellous Bell and Kelvin Howard will play much larger roles for the 2011-2012 Stags.

 10  31-2  MillerGrove.jpeg
Miller Grove  Lithonia (GA)

 Wolverines Schedule

 Head Coach: Sherman White

Impact Players: Tony ParkerBrandon MorrisChristian HoustonTony Evans

Breakdown: What a  splash the Wolverines made on the scene last season. Big man Tony Parker and Georgia commit Brandon Morris will attempt to keep the Miller Grove name popping this season. The constant for this team will be feeding Tony Parker the ball. He can simply dominate the game from the inside. Justin Colvin, Christian Houston and Tony Evans are the glue guys. Brandon Morris will be able to carry the team at times when Tony Parker needs a blow. As long as the refs can refrain from calling touch fouls on TP, Miller Grove will get that 3rd straight Class AAAA state championship.

 11  23-5  MontverdeAcademy.jpeg
Montverde Academy  Montverde (FL)

 Eagle Schedule

 Head Coach: Kevin Boyle

 Impact Players: Kasey HillMichael Frazier

Breadown Players: We can only imagine what Coach Boyle would do with the services of big man Dakari Johnson. After they both made the move from St. Patrick's to Montverde, Johnson may possibly have to sit out the season due to Florida transfer rules. Regardless if the talented big man can lace up his sneakers for the Eagles this year, basketball fans need to be on the look out for this squad. Paced by Florida commit Michael Frazier and the outstanding guard Kasey Hill, the Eagles will be a force to reckon with. Patricio Garino and Anthony Perez will provide the inside help needed to keep this team at the top of the rankings.

 12  39-1  MarcusHS.jpeg
 Marcus Flower Mount (TX)

 Marauder Schedule

 Head Coach:  Danny Henderson

Impact Players: Marcus SmartPhil ForteNick Banyard

Breakdown: When you return four starters off of a team that went 25-1 in the loaded Texas 5A I division much is expected. Danny Henderson has a team, a real team. These kids enjoy playing with each other. The Marauders are lead my Oklahoma State commits Marcus Smart and Phil Forte. Both guards play off of each other, neither of the two demand the ball. New Mexico -bound Nick Banyard has a wonderful array of moves in the post, but Coach Henderson will need to get more out of some of his young kids in order to repeat as 5A champs.

 13  25-1  MontroseChristian.jpeg
Montrose Christian  Rockville (MD)

 Mustangs Schedule

 Head Coach: Stu Vetter

Impact Players: Justin AndersonIshmail WainrightMichael Carrera

Breakdown: Who is more excited to play the game of basketball than Justin Anderson?  His passion for the game is unreal and he will need to use that passion more than ever this year for the Mustangs. The loss of Tyrone Johnson to Villanova is a big blow, but we tend to think that Yuki Togoshi can be servicable and get the ball to Anderson and highly-regarded transfer and one time Missouri commit Ishmael Wainright. Michael Carrera will have to provide much more scoring this year for Stu Vetter, and we are sure that he is expressing this daily in practice. Regardless of wins and losses, this group will be one of the most exciting teams to watch this season.

 14  22-6  GracePrep.jpeg
 Grace Prep Arlington (TX)

 Lions Schedule

 Head Coach: Ray Forsett

Impact Players: Isaiah AustinEmmanuel MudiayJelon Hornbeak

Breakdown: The Texas team with the most talent resides in Arlington. Baylor commit Isaiah Austin is a dominating force that can shoot, pass, run the floor and lead by example. Austin at times is the most dominating player that is not playing in college right now. Add sophmore guard Emmanuel Mudiay and Oklahoma commit Jelon Hornbeak and you have a nice core group that can compete with any prep team in the country. The Lions will make up for the depature of Jamal Branch who is now in College Station by bringing in a talented trio of players with nice length. Pat Birt, Karviar Shepard and Jordan Mickey will need to step in quickly for the Lions to repeat as TAPPS 4A state champions.

 15  21-13  NewHampton.jpeg
 New Hampton  New Hampton (NH)

 Husky Schedule

 Head Coach: Peter Hutchins

Impact Players: Zach AugusteNoah VonlehOlivier Hanlan

Breakdown: What a long and athletic frontline Coach Hutchins has to work with this season. Notre Dame commit Zach Auguste will continue to be a match up problem in the 3A class of the NEPSAC. One of the better looking 2014 players in the country, Noah Vonleh will be a wonderful new addition and will make an immediate impact on the rest of the roster. Boston College bound Olivier Hanlan will not defer as much as he has in the past and should be a much needed scoring punch in the backcourt.

 16  22-7  ChristTheKing.jpeg
Christ the King Middle Village (NY)

 Royals Schedule

 Head Coach: Joe Arbitello

Impact Players: Omar CalhounIsaiah LewisJordan Fuchs

Breakdown: One of the best pure shooters in the 2012 class Omar Calhoun, who has given Connecticut a verbal pledge, will be a monster in the New York area. Combo guard Isaiah Lewis will look to be more of a leader this year and will need to provide much more scoring for the Royals to dominate the city. Jordan Fuchs, a touchdown machine on the gridiron, will look to throw around his 6-foot-5 210-pound frame in the paint. Not much is stopping the Royals from its' third straight New York CHSAA title.

 17  20-10  WhitneyYoung.gif
Whitney M. Yong Magnet Chicago (IL)

 Dolphins Schedule

 Head Coach: Tyrone Slaughter

Impact Players: Tommy Hamilton JrJahlil OkaforPaul WhiteGabe Snider

Breakdown: The Dolphins of Whitney Young are sitting at #17 but this team is far more talented than it may appear. They have just as much talent as any other school on this list with the likes of Tommy Hamilton Jr., Jahlil Okafor, Paul White and Gabe Snider to name a few. The key to their success lies in their willingness to function as a whole unit and utilize each other's strengths to the benefit of their entire team. Put them down as a wild card in this group

 18  22-9  LaLumiere.jpeg
La Lumiere School La Porte (IN)

 Lakers Schedule

 Head Coach: Alan Huss

Impact Players: Hanner PereaJay SimpsonRaphael DavisJohnnie VassarObij Aget

Breakdown: Athleticism is oozing with this young group in Northern Indiana. The dunk machine and Indiana commit Hanner Perea will basically put down anything, regardless if a defender is occupying the lane. Big man Obij Aget has nice size to intimadate slashers from even conjuring up the thought to drive the paint. Purdue commits, Jay Simpson and Raphael Davis bring a much needed attitude to the Lakers. With the addition of point man Johnnie Vassar. the upside of this team is scarey.

 19  29-3  MiltonHigh.jpg
Milton High School   Alpharetta (GA)

 Eagles Schedule

 Head Coach: David Boyd

Impact Players: Shaquille JohnsonEvan NolteCharles Mann

Breakdown: The Eagles feature three D1 commits in Shaquille Johnson (Auburn), Evan Nolte (Virginia) and Charles Mann (Georgia). The trio will attempt to avenge the state championship loss to Norcross (GA) minus Shannon Scott who is now on the Ohio State campus. Many people tagged the Eagles as the topped rated team last season due to the fact that they had four D1 seniors. Added production from sophmore Jalyn Patterson and if the senior big man Tevin Glass can simply hit his "last name", the Eagles will easily make it back to the Georgia 5A championships.

 20  33-0  StAnthony.jpeg
 St. Anthony Jersey City (NJ)

 Friars Schedule

 Head Coach: Bob Hurley Sr.

Impact Players: Kyle Anderson, Jimmy Hall

Breakdown: Arguably the best coach in prep hoops Bob Hurley Sr., may not have his most talented team but he sure does have a stud to lean on in Kyle Anderston. The UCLA commit is a do-it-all type of player. He can lead the break, hit the glass and is a vocal leader on the court. A undefeated season more than likely is out of the question for the Friars this year but the schools 27th state championship is definately in reach.

 21  16-5  SouthKent.jpeg
 South Kent  South Kent (CT)

 Cardinal Schedule

 Head Coach: Kelvin Jefferson

Impact Players: Ricardo LedoChris ThomasLaimonas Chatkevicius

Breakdown: Chemistry will be the theme for this bunch. The super talented guard combo of Ricardo Ledo and Chris Thomas is dynamic. Will they be able to play off of each other? Who will play point guard for this this team? Someone will need to step up and get the ball to the 7-foot Kansas State commit Laimonas Chatkevicius. Yes we are reaching with this ranking, but we truly have faith that the backcourt combo will click and do big things this year.

 22  32-6
 Fort Bend Travis  Richmond (TX)

 Tigers Schedule

 Head Coach: Craig Brownson

Impact Players: Andrew HarrisonAaron HarrisonChristian Crocket

Breakdown: Texas is not just a football state anymore. Several of the top 100 high school teams reside it the Lonestar state. Sitting near the top of the lists is the Harrison Twins lead Tigers. The twin guards are relentless workers that will lean on experience to get the team past the regional championship this year. Christian Crocket will also look to finish up his high school campaign with a championship. The key piece to the puzzle will be the starting quaterback on the football team, 6-6 Kyle Coulter. The talent is present with the team, the issue is navigating through the loaded Houston region.

 23  19-3
 Hamilton  Southeastern  Fishers (IN)

 Royals Schedule

 Head Coach: Brian Satterfield

Impact Players: Gary HarrisZak IrvinJacobby Bledsoe

Breakdown:  HSE is returning the top three scorers off of a team that lost to the D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera lead North Central squad in the Indiana 4A regional championship last season. With the departure of Smith-Rivera to Oak Hill, HSE is bound to make it to the championship game in Indy if the 3 amigos can simply mirror the efforts from last season. Zak Irvin put on a show over the summer and pledged to the Wolverines. Gary Harris is still weighing his options. The most important player on this team is the floor general Jacobby Bledsoe. If the two glue guys, Tyler Duffy and Drew Robinson come to play this year, HSE will have a season to remember.

 24  23-2  ArlingtonCountryDay.jpeg
 Arlington Country Day  Jacksonville (FL)

 Apaches Schedule

 Head Coach: Rex Morgan

Impact Players: Ian BakerCarlos MorrisJordan GoodmanTorian Graham

Breakdown: The Apaches return five players that logged plenty of minutes last season and  will also welcome the former N.C. State commit Torian Graham. With three returning players  that will be attending a D-1 school in the fall and with the addition of Graham our only  concern is if shots will be available. If the coaching staff can develope underclassmen such as  Michael Gilmore and Kerem Kanter, we fully expect ACD to make a push into the top ten by  the end of the season.

 25  26-2  SextonHigh.png
 J.W. Sexton High  Sexton (MI)

 Big Red Schedule

 Head Coach: Carolton Valentine

Impact Players: Denzel ValentineBryn ForbesAnthony Clemmons

Breakdown: The Big Reds finished an outstanding season last winter with the schools first boys  basketball  championship since 1960. The senior laden squad is the best returning Michigan Class B  team and may  perhaps be the best overall team in the state. Sexton is paced by three seniors that will  be playing D-1 ball next season. Michigan State-bound Denzel Valentine will continue to display the high IQ that he gets from being the son of a head coach.
