Jorge Rosa is a 6-4 guard who spent last season at Life Christian Academy in Kissimee, Florida, but has transferred to Faith Christian Academy in Orlando for his senior year.

We caught up with Jorge for an update on the current status of his recruitment.  It appears that Jorge has already drawn the interest of a number of schools at a variety of levels.

He also already holds four offers and has been on a couple unofficial visits.

As of right now he has interest from Bethune-Cookman, Clemson, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Massachusetts, Memphis, Miami, Mississippi State, South Alabama, South Florida, Tulane, Virginia Commonwealth and Virginia Tech.

The schools that have offered already are Florida Gulf Coast, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville and Tulane.

At this point Jorge does not have any favorites and his recruitment is wide open.  He has however been on unofficial visits to Miami and Florida Gulf Coast.  He plans on taking more visits in the fall, but hasn't decided on what schools to visit yet.

Since we have yet to see Jorge in action we wanted to get a self assessment of his game and Jorge provided us with such.  According to him the strengths of his game are his versatility in scoring, whether it be shooting the long ball or getting to the hoop, and his ability to run the floor and get out in transition.

Where he sees room for improvement is in adding strength and weight to his frame, along with improving his offensive rebounding.

Although he already has quite a few schools after him, his recruitment should only pick up with a successful senior year at Faith Christian Academy.
